Learning to DJ can be a complicated and daunting task on your own. Skip the weeks of trawling through online tutorials and guides, and learn everything you need to know about getting started with this in-person workshop.
This is your opportunity to get hands-on with various types of DJ equipment (including turntable and digital setups), different genres of music, and formats, so you can get a feel for what works best for you before you think about investing in any costly equipment.
Get answers to questions like: ‘How do you learn to beat-match by ear? How do you create smooth and creative transitions between difficult tracks? Where do I buy my music? What do all these buttons do?!’
As well as hands-on learning, you’ll receive a brief lesson about the history of the art and how various styles and purposes of DJing came to be, including some background on the local music scene and DJ culture.
