Comedy on the Fringe brings Rachel Jackson and David Middleton to Upstairs Inverness on Thursday 1 October, 7pm to 9.30pm.
Rachel Jackson is an award-winning Scottish comedian, actress and writer — Herald Scottish Culture Award One to Watch, nominated for Best New Comedian at the Scottish Variety Awards and Scottish Comedy Awards. You’ll have seen her in Outlander, Still Game, Two Doors Down and Scot Squad; she wrote and starred in BBC Three’s Bunny Boiler, played Wendy in Beats and Donna in Karen Gillan’s The Party’s Just Beginning. Sharp, fearless, and built for a live room.
With her: Join comedian David Métier for GingerGiant, a hilarious, fast-paced hour of storytelling and stand-up about the true utter collapse of a foolproof plan. After leaving his essential cruise-ship luggage in a remote Scottish town suitable only for "carbon credits and people who need a wash," a sudden blizzard forces him on a panicked, expensive, country-wide scramble to rebuild his life out of an Inverness Wetherspoons and borrowed trousers. Come witness the 60kg logistical nightmare of a man who hasn't even seen the ocean yet, but is already drowning in comedy gold.
Two and a half hours. Proper comedy night energy.
