Beginner’s Stand-Up Comedy Workshops 19th/20th/26th/27th September
Fancy a laugh? Do you think you’re funny? Would you like to try stand-up comedy?
Everyone has a story to tell and everyone has the ability to make people laugh.
Stand-up comedy workshops are also a great way of improving confidence, self-esteem, communication skills and general well-being.
The course will cover: - writing your own material, comedy structure, stage persona, comic timing, microphone technique and performance skills.
The workshops will be led by comedian Viv Gee whose past students include Richard Gadd, Mark Nelson, Jay Lafferty, Susie McCabe, Des McLean and Des Clarke.
Attendees will be paying to attend all dates (19th/20th/26th/27th September) 12pm - 3pm each dayPerformances will take place on the 3rd of October during the festival
Viv has performed stand-up from L.A to Bangkok and has numerous TV and radio credits including The Comedy Undergound, The Stand-Up Show and The Good, the Bad and the Unexpected for BBC. In 2025 she was a nominee for the Sir Billy Connolly Spirit of Glasgow Awards and was also awarded the Lord Provost’s 850 award for her contribution to Glasgow’s comedy scene.
Viv was the recipient of the Award for Outstanding Contribution to Comedy at the inaugural Scottish Comedy Awards in 2014.

Inverness Fringe Festival is proud to host these highly recommended and absolutely brilliant Stand-Up Comedy workshops across 2 weekends.Places are limited to ensure high quality sessions with Viv.Applicants must be aware that they need to attend all 4 days to gain the best results from the WorkshopsThese dates are 19th and 20th of September and 26th and 27th of SeptemberYou will have the opportunity to perform at the end of the Inverness Fringe Festival on the 3rd of October - Yeehaaw!More information will be shared closer to the time
