The Fringe welcomes BBC Writers to Wasps Gym Hall on Tuesday 29 September — a one-hour talk on what it means to join the scriptwriting world.

BBC Writers (the team formerly known as BBC Writersroom) find and develop new voices for TV, radio, film and stage across the UK. They run Open Call, Voices, Scripted and Pilot — the routes a lot of working writers first walk through. This is not a lecture on formatting. It’s an hour on how the industry actually works, what they’re looking for, and how Highland writers can step toward it without moving to London first.

Come if you’ve never written a script. Come if you’ve got a drawer full. Come if you just want to know what “breaking in” looks like from the inside.
