Amarynthia at Abertarff House - Inverness Fringe Festival

Folklore on a Friday lunchtime. A garden. A witch songstress.

Amarynthia play Folklore Friday in the garden of Abertarff House on Friday 2 October, 1pm to 2pm.

Highland witchcraft-folk from the west — Gairloch and a hillside looking toward Skye. Lead writer and vocalist Tamsin is a hereditary witch; the songs come out of practice as much as repertoire. Original work about witches, trials, lochs and old paths: Loch Maree, Cailleach’s Path, Clansman and the Witch. Haunting rather than loud. An hour in one of Inverness’s oldest gardens, not a black-box stage.

Mid-festival Friday. Bring a coat. Listen close.
